Erica "Cookee" Alexander was born and raised in Fresno, Ca, where she excelled in academics and athletics from grammar school throughout high school. In 2005, while attending Fresno State University she interned at Clear Channel Radio and was eventually hired as an On-Air Radio Personality for B95 FM in Fresno, CA hosting nights and weekends. She was dubbed the name “Cookie Monster” and eventually evolved to “Cookee.” Erica left B95 in 2008 when she decided to pursue her education and accomplish a long time goal of living in Los Angeles, Ca and working in the Music/Entertainment Industry.

While attending Cal State University, Northridge in Los Angeles, she landed an internship with Island Def Jam Music Group in the Promotions/A&R/Soundtracks department. Her time at Def Jam fueled her passion for music and she began working toward achieving personal goals of her own.

In 2012, she began to do interviews with Up and Coming music artists to begin to work toward her goals of being a television host. She was Blessed in early 2013 with an opportunity to follow her passion of doing interviews with celebrities through LA Sports Entertainment interviewing big names like Tori Spelling, Tamar Braxton, Charlie Wilson, Wendy Racquel Robinson, Chris Brown and more. She joined the Accelerated Radio Network in May 2013 teaching inner city youth radio broadcasting with the Accelerated Radio School of Broadcasting program run by radio veteran Kevin Nash. In September 2013, she launched the birth of “Urban Hollywood Radio" which airs Tuesday night from 8-10pm PST on In May 2014 she launched her webisode "Courtesy of the Dj," a tribute to DJs making moves in the music industry on her Youtube channel.
